Peter Langford, who turned 90 last month, is on his way from Land’s End to John O’Groats on his bike to raise money for charity

Peter Langford, a retired vicar from Beccles, has already completed the journey three times since turning 75, in spite of arthritis in his knees. This time Peter is hoping to raise £50,000 which will be split between the Salvation Army and Lowestoft-based charity Access Community Trust. Having set out on the August 22, he is already well over halfway through his 1,100 mile journey

The 90 year old said "Reflecting on my life so far, I am truly thankful that I have not had to worry too much about money, my health, or a roof over my head, but times have changed significantly from when I was young. Today, there are so many people and families struggling with the bare basics. If I can raise awareness of the cause and my supporters donate what they can. Together we can make a real difference to many people’s lives"

Peter has currently raised 56% of his target and hopes to complete his journey on September 21
