NIGEL PARROT 09-2022AOn Saturday evening a special service was held at Park Baptist Church to commission Nigel Parrott to service for God in Estonia. It marked the climax of seven years thought, prayer, and preparation; from what he thought of as a chance remark by another Christian in 2015, to a journey that begins on Wednesday 21st September morning that will take him to Kivioli in Estonia. He is being led by the Lord to work in fellowship with the Baptist church there

The commissioning was part of the joint Portuguese and English speaking congregations and led by both pastors, with translators for both languages

He was asked by Pastor Peter to confirm his trust in the Saviour and his willingness to serve the Lord faithfully in whichever way he was moved. Although he was not sure how his service would develop, he was certain that the Lord would reveal Himself and His purposes for him step by step. A time of prayer for him followed

NIGEL PARROT 09-2022CA letter of greeting to the church from Pastor Iurii Schider in Kivioli was read, which expressed a thrilled anticipation of Nigel joining them

Pastor Jorge concluded the evening with an encouraging message based on 1 Peter 3:15; "Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defence to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear"

The whole congregation made it clear that they would support him in prayer as he moves out into the unknown for the Lord
