The Chapel Coffee House has raised £800 for Pancreatic Cancer Action
The Chapel Coffee House in Ormesby St Margaret has just raised £800 for Pancreatic Cancer Action
The photo shows regular customer, Ann, who suggested Pancreatic Cancer Action in memory of her husband, who sadly died of the disease
When the cafe opened in September 2015, it was decided to incorporate a corner where customers could donate or buy pre-loved items. Every few months a new charity is chosen to benefit from the funds raised. So far, other causes which have been helped are ‘
Through the Roof
’, ‘
Brainwave Independence Group
’, ‘
Home for Good
’ and ‘
Syrian Forgotten Families
’. Each one has been suggested by a customer or café volunteer. “It has proved very popular”, says organiser
Helen Farman
“and we are thrilled to have raised over £2,500 for so many deserving causes”
The Chapel Coffee House, on North Road, is open on
Thursdays and Fridays
from
10.30am-2pm
and
Saturdays
from
10am- 1pm
, serving delicious homemade cakes, scones, light lunches and quality tea and coffee. Why not go and try some and maybe pick up a bargain, in aid of a good cause at the same time
