Update from East Norfolk Youth for Christ
It's a very exciting time for us at the moment with the start of a new school year and a change to the usual run of things
After such an amazing time of fellowship and relationship building at Newday this year we are all determined to continue to grow in our relationships with God and each other. The group of over 18s has "lost" three members to further education in other areas of the UK and we wish them well and pray that Matt, Susanna and Elizabeth will continue to grow strong and obedient in their love of Jesus wherever they are
The remaining young leaders, Grace, Suzanne and Angel, are really passionate about helping these younger Christians to grow and strengthen their relationship with Jesus, as well as keeping in touch with Christians of their own age. So, they have decided to lay down the Over 18s study group on a Monday night and instead serve these young Christians by providing an environment where they can learn and question, challenge and encourage each other. This group will be aimed at those in the colleges (either Paston, Lowestoft 6th form, East Norfolk 6th Form, and Great Yarmouth College) and will be in partnership with Identity Youth Project
As the year goes on, these young people will be planning and involved in one-off events, too like Glitterball and other opportunities we hope to provide in partnership with IDYP. Please pray for this group of young leaders, and prospective young leaders, that they will be brave and obedient and dare to be different for Him

As you know we didn't appoint a worker at the last round of interviews but we are exploring other options and as soon as we have anything concrete to say we will let you know
We really appreciate the 17 people who have turned up in some pretty rotten weather to prayer walk the school over the 40 days of the summer and if anyone can commit to the final push, please let Alison know. The 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, 1st, and 2nd are still up for grabs. Thank you to all those, too who were unable to physically walk around the school but who faithfully pray for us all. We know God's protection, favour and mercy so thank you for standing with us again
Again we need more volunteers for the Youth Cafe on a Wednesday afternoon after school at the Salvation Army Citadel, between 3pm and 5pm as four have left to pursue education opportunities further afield. If you are dubious about working with young people, that's fine, we need people to make teas, coffees and hot chocolate in the kitchen, too so if you feel that's something you could do please do get in touch
Thank you
Alison and the trustees
