Planned outreach event needs your help
Recently, a group of local Christians, from many denominations across the whole Borough, with hearts for reaching not-yet-Christians and demonstrating unity regardless of denomination, got together to plan outreach events in the town. We have had only a few meetings so far and have made massive progress, including planning an event to take place on 10
th
August in St Georges Park and a Good Friday Walk of Witness around the town
The August event will have the name of ‘U Chews’, being a play on the words ‘You Choose’. The emphasis will be that everything is free and people will have many activities to choose from, including a hot dog stall, all absolutely FREE at point of delivery. The stalls will include face painting, prayer table, Gideons, Bible information table (the Bible will be read aloud throughout for people to just listen if they wish to), a tent to experiment making music, a DJ with Christian music, and much more
Clearly, to give all this free, we need to fund from somewhere and that’s where you come in. Would you please consider contributing towards this much-needed outreach event.
If your answer is ‘yes’, please send a cheque made out to Pro Deo and post to Derek Gidney, 18 Hermitage Close, Acle, Great Yarmouth, NR13 3RG
