Inter Faith Week

INTER FAITH WEEK 201830th October 2018
Pam Spychal reports

November is the time of year in the UK when people of different faiths come together to celebrate Inter Faith Week

The national aims are:

  • strengthening good interfaith relations at all levels;

  • increasing awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society;

  • increasing understanding between people of religious and non– religious beliefs

 The Greater Yarmouth Inter Faith and Belief Network is offering an opportunity to find out more about inter faith activities in our town

From Monday 12th November until Thursday 15th November from 10 until 2 at Christchurch Methodist Café there will be a small exhibition of religious artefacts. People from various faiths, including myself, will be around to talk about our own faith and what the Inter Faith Network means to us

On Friday 16th November at 2.30pm at Christchurch there will be a service of readings from the religious writings of different faith groups from the Borough of Great Yarmouth, celebrating unity and cooperation
