Collection tins to go aboard Vroon ships

In the picture right, you can see Claire Whelan, Recruitment Officer for Deeside Crewing Services, receiving from the Port Chaplain, Rev Peter Paine, a small sample of the 15 collecting tins that Vroon have offered to put on board their ships as they travel around the world.  These tins will receive donations that will assist Great Yarmouth Seafarers Centre to operate in the port

That same day, another of the collection tins was received by the Asco security office (see picture below left)

asco collecting tinTheir generous support will help to provide emotional and practical support to seafarers of all nationalities by:


[*]     offering a welcome and hospitality in the port of Great Yarmouth
[*]     enabling them to keep in touch with their homes and families
[*]     assisting them with all kinds of emergencies and problems through the availability of the Port Chaplain
