Norfolk Prayer for Revival new name and focus

REVIVEAfter 40 monthly meetings across Norfolk Prayer for Revival is to be relaunched with a new name – Revive - and a new focus

Prayer for Revival was launched in January 2011 and has held 40 monthly meeting in venues across Norfolk including Fakenham, Carleton Rode, Great Yarmouth, Norwich, and Stalham
The monthly prayer events, which include worship, and a band made up of musicians and singers from across the churches, has been bringing together pastors and churches from various denominations to pray for the region, the authorities and institutions, for every minister and church to be blessed and for revival.
So why change the name from Prayer for Revival to Revive. Organiser Phil Thorne said: “For some time a number of the pastors have been agreeing that in one sense we are in revival. We are seeing people’s passion for God’s Kingdom growing, we are seeing prayer increasing and we are experiencing healings taking place. In that sense we are not praying for revival anymore, we are in revival – hence the present tense of Revive"
“We are still praying though, praying for increase, for the whole church to be revived and for a spiritual awakening in our society. This isn’t the end of something, it’s looking to go to new levels of unity, worship, prayer and passion for God. Keep coming, keep expecting and keep praying”
The 41st meeting is taking place on Monday January 12 at City Gates Centre, Cowgate, Norwich, NR4 1SZ at 7:30pm. There will be prayers for all God wants to do in 2015, for all the churches and for health workers and carers
