We will remember them at Park Baptist Church

poppiesDuring WW1 many of the men associated with Park Baptist Church in Great Yarmouth went to fight for their country.  Sadly a number did not return

To mark the centenary of The Great War, the Remembrance Service on November 9th at the church contained a roll call of names of those who lost their lives to give thanks for their deeds and said prayers. Their names are held on a WW1 plaque at the church

Rev Peter Timothy delivered a sermon which included the message of both recognition of the great sacrifices made by so many and also made the point that we all can learn how to live peacefully together in love to avoid such conflict.  He used a very interesting analogy of a tag wrestling match, with love and mercy being the tags, to indicate how to live in humilty as in Micah 6:8
